Welcome Home Elder Hess

On Friday Connell (my nephew) came home from his mission in Richmond Virginia. The timing worked out great as Pat and I were up in Idaho for Christmas. A few of us got to go to the airport and greet him as he got off the plane. In the photo above is Pat, Clancee, Sydnee, Dennis (Sydnee's dad), LaVerne (Sydnee's mom), Connell, Chad (Connell's dad), Tammy (Sydnee's sister) and Adam (Connell's best friend from high school). It was a fun time by all. For those that are wondering Kaven (Connell's brother) is taking the picture and Hayden (Connell's other brother) was playing in a high school basketball game that night. Straight from the airport we went to the game.
This Connell giving Grandpa a big hug.
This is Connell as he is coming off the plane. He was home for 48 hours and then off to BYU. He started classes today. He will also be playing football for BYU next year. He was on the scout team in 2006 (before his mission) and met with the coaching staff today. Coach Omer (the strength and conditioning coach) as already put him on a lifting schedule as he prepares for spring ball. I am so excitied as he will be on the team, so I can now have a good excuse to get season tickets!
Clancee was very excitied to see Connell at the airport. She had a good time dancing with the sign as we waited for his plane to arrive.
